Example of macrotia, or scapha reduction surgery, to help make the upper segment of the ear smaller. This is NOT traditional otoplasty surgery where the ear is pinned closer to the head. Rather, macrotia surgery actually makes the ear smaller by removing a crescent-shaped segment along the upper half of the auricle.
