Case # 41
This is an example of revision rhinoplasty to correct residual issues arising from prior rhinoplasty done by another plastic surgeon. This patient had prior nose surgery by someone in Beverly Hills. Unfortunately, he was left with marked asymmetry of this tip where his right side was collapsed versus his left side. In addition, his nasal tip stuck out too far as best seen on his side view.
I performed an open revision rhinoplasty to help provide him with more symmetry in the tip region. You can readily see how his right nostril rim is now much more even with his left side. An ear graft was used along with remaining septal cartilage to help reconstruct the right side of his nasal tip. At the same time his nasal tip was made less pointy to give him a more natural overall look.
