Case # 131
This is an example of functional reconstructive rhinoplasty surgery to help this patient breathe better. Notice on his frontal view prior to surgery that the nasal bridge is quite crooked. In fact, you can see how it curves off to the patient’s left side in a C-shaped configuration. I ended up reconstructing the nose to function better using a variety of cartilage grafts to build up the right side of his nose. In this process, there is an obvious improvement made in terms of symmetry of the bridge. The oblique and profile views demonstrate how this type of reconstructive rhinoplasty can be performed while preserving much of the original appearance of the nose.
