I wanted to post an update on this particular San Diego rhinoplasty patient. We previously posted on her rhinoplasty healing at day 6 out from nose job surgery. You can see read more about her day 6 rhinoplasty recovery and details of her nose job surgery by clicking here. One week later, she was seen for routine follow-up in my office and additional photos were taken to document her rhinoplasty healing. You can see her rhinoplasty photos below, which demonstrate a very nice early evolution in her healing. As I commonly discuss with my San Diego rhinoplasty patients, within 14 days of this type of nose reshaping surgery she looks quite presentable in the public eye. Yes, you can tell that she still has swelling of the nose and residual discoloration of her skin from the rhinoplasty surgery. But, overall, she looks quite presentable. In fact, not many strangers would even pay her much attention in line at the supermarket! What these photos also show many prospective rhinoplasty patients, is just how much change there actually is between recovery day 6 and recovery day 14. This change can really be appreciated on her profile rhinoplasty photos where a significant amount of the bridge swelling (called edema) has resolved at two weeks out. Over the next several months, she is going to enjoy even more refinement of her nose as a result of the rhinoplasty – ultimately achieving her final result around one year out.
